A Special Meeting of the Williams Unified School District No. 2 Governing Board was held at 8:30 a.m. on the above date at the office of the Williams School District Superintendent. Board members present: Mrs. Cothren, Mr. Stilwell, Mr. Barnes and Mr. Nenne. Mr. Parenteau was absent. Also present: Dr. McCraley.
SPECIAL MEETING
The agenda for the meeting is as follows:
I. OPENING ITEMS
Ø Mrs. Cothren called the meeting to order at 8:35 a.m. and led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance;
Ø Motion by Mr. Barnes to adopt the agenda, second by Mr. Stilwell. Motion approved 4-0.
II. EXECUTIVE SESSION
A. The Governing Board may vote to enter into Executive Session pursuant to ARS 38-431.03 (A)(2) and ARS 15-843 to:
a. determine whether the nature of accusations against two students justify expulsion
hearings, and if so
b. determine whether each hearing will be held before the Governing Board or before a
hearing officer.
Ø Motion by Mr. Barnes to enter Executive Session, second by Mr. Stilwell. Motion approve 4-0. Into Executive Session at 8:36 a.m.
Ø Motion by Mr. Nenne to return to Open Session, second by Mr. Stilwell. Motion approved 4-0. Back to Open Session at 8:58 a.m.
III. ADJOURNMENT
Ø Motion by Mr. Barnes to adjourn the meeting, second by Mr. Nenne. Motion approved 4-0. Meeting adjourned at 9:03 a.m.
