Greetings WHS ONLINE LEARNERS, or anyone who might be an online learner at any point during this school year: As a friendly reminder, please be sure to check in with all of your classes each and every school day BEFORE 3:45 pm. Many assignments are due at midnight of the day that it is due. Attendance is different. Again, we ask that attendance check ins happen by 3:45 pm (when the regular school day is over). If you have technical issues (i.e. cannot access the Daily Attendance feature in your Google Classroom assignments to check in), EMAIL your individual teacher(s) and notify them of your technical issues with Google Classroom and state that you are "here and present" in Google Classroom for the day. Thank you!

Good Afternoon WEMS Families: We received some phone calls today concerning WEMS' COVID situation. Currently, WEMS has 1 positive student case and 1 positive staff case, as well as 1 positive bus driver case. All these individuals are at home isolating and we continue to follow protocol. If they have siblings/children that attend WUSD, they are home also, whether they are sick or not. If a student or staff member is awaiting COVID test results, they too should/are staying home until WEMS has their negative results, or 10 days have passed, fever is gone for 24+ hours, and other symptoms have improved. WEMS does remain open for in-person learning. If you wish to move your child(ren) from in-person to online, please call the front office. Our tech team will have PreK-2 devices available very soon, so please return your signed electronic agreement. Please help us remain diligent about: staying home if sick, hand washing often (soap and water for 20+ secs), wearing a mask, social distancing where possible, covering mouth when cough/sneeze, monitoring the health of your children, and consulting your doctor when needed/desired. We will continue to keep you up-to-date with information during this fluid time.
Greetings WHS Families: We have received many calls today asking for clarification regarding WHS's COVID situation. As it stands right now, WHS has: 3 positive WHS student cases 1 positive teacher case 1 positive staff case (a WUSD bus driver) All are at home isolating and we continue to follow protocol. If they have siblings/children that attend WEMS or WHS, they too are home, whether they are sick or not. We do ask each of you, if any members in your household are sick and/or positive, to please keep ALL students home, even if asymptomatic. We can utilize Google Classroom and Zoom for the time that they remain out (until cleared to return). WHS does remain open for in person learning and fall season athletics continue. If you wish to move your child(ren) from in person to online, we can accommodate that quite easily. Just be sure to call the front office. We will respect and honor all decisions. If a student or staff member is awaiting COVID test results, they too should/are staying home until WHS has their negative result, or 10 days have passed, fever is gone for 24+ hours, and other symptoms have improved. We should also remain diligent about: staying home if sick hand washing often (soap and water for 20+ secs) wearing a mask social distancing where possible covering our mouth when we cough/sneeze continue to monitor the health of our children consult your doctor when needed/desired We will continue to keep you up to date with specific information during this fluid time.

Hello students and parents. The cold weather has been making our daily temp taking have very low readings. That, and the fact that the CDC is not longer recommending schools take student temps upon entry, has led the WUSD Board to do away with the daily temp taking for students upon entry to the schools. We ask that parents be diligent in screening their children for symptoms at home. We will continue having staff and visitors be screened with temp taking daily. Of course, our mask rules are still in place. Please contact your school with any questions or concerns. Make it a great day!
Falcon Families: Thursday is the last day for our PTSA Membership Drive. Please send your envelopes and payment into the school if you plan to join. Greetings Vikings: WHS Staff have recently collaborated & decided that for our ONLINE LEARNERS...attendance must be taken by the student, in each of their (up to) 6 classes in Google Classroom, by 3:45 pm each school day. We will continue to allow for work to be submitted until the 11:59 pm deadline for assignments/homework. This practice of 11:59 pm aligns with college readiness. Again, this only applies to attendance (3:45 pm) and NOT classwork/homework. This will streamline our daily attendance record keeping and will put WHS in line with WEMS practices as well. Thank you! -Mr. Evans & the WHS Family-

Greetings Viking Families: as promised, we continue to seek solutions that streamline the WHS online learning environment. Today, I am pleased to roll out 2 very important items to increase the simplicity & efficiency of the online environment. 1. A universal way to take daily attendance: In Google Classroom, students will go to "Classwork" and then Daily Attendance Topic/Heading. Click on the Google Forms Sign In for that Daily Attendance assignment & click on the one question that states something like "I am here and present for class today". It will send the teacher a date and timestamp of your log in/check in. Do this for every class, every day/time you go into Google Classroom. 2. A master Zoom schedule for online learners . Please see the link here: https://5il.co/kgnp
Greetings WHS Online Learners: WHS has been listening to your feedback and needs related to online learning. WHS will continue to collaborate together to seek solutions that work for: online daily attendance taking, Zoom schedules for online learners, and the posting of assignments in Google Classroom. Our goal is to be better each day. I want to publicly thank our tireless teachers and other staff who continue to pull "double duty" in these unique times to meet the needs of all in person and online learners. Your patience and your feedback are greatly appreciated. Mr. Evans***
Virtual College Fair! ASU, NAU, and U of A will be having a virtual college fair September 8th-12th. It will mainly help out seniors and juniors but any grade level can attend if you want to start to learn about the process of applying to and attending a university. Good morning from the counselor's office! I am excited about getting the school year started again and seeing students in our classrooms and halls. It was too quiet here the first week without you. Please remember that if we want to continue this then keep on doing the things that have been implemented to keep us all safe. Social distance and wear your mask!. There are 2 things coming up that I want to inform you about. We currently are having sign ups for the PSAT/NMSQT test. This test is for 10th and 11th grades and is a pre college readiness test for the SAT/ACT. If you are considering going to college after high school this is a good test to take to get ready for the SAT/ACT which colleges use for some scholarships, placement in classes your freshman year, and admissions. The cost of the test is $17 and juniors with financial need may qualify for a fee waiver. You can sign up in your English class or the front office. Registration for this will end Tuesday September 1st. Email Mr. Powers (email@example.com) with any questions. We usually have an in person college fair in October that has been changed to a virtual college fair that will be 3 days (Saturday September 19th, Thursday October 27th, and Tuesday November 17th). This would be a great time for anyone (especially juniors and seniors) to look at some smaller schools in the area. They will have representatives from the schools, virtual tours, Financial Aid 101, College application help and more. If you visit 3 virtual booths you could also win a $500 scholarship. If you are still searching for a college to attend, just starting to think about this, or even know where you are going to go I recommend this to all who want to get some more information about colleges and the process it will take to get there. You have to register to attend this and the link for information about it and to register is: https://virtual.gotocollegefairs.com/azccvirtualfair/639822 As always you can call (928-635-4474 ext. 407) or email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) with any questions, concerns or ideas that you have. Thank You, Mr. Powers
Greetings WHS Families: Today, Zoom experienced outages across the USA and the UK, locking many out of their meetings. Greetings Alg I and Geometry ONLINE LEARNERS: We have created (in the Google Classroom, under Stream) a new material/assignment. It's a Google Form to sign in/check in each and every time you come to Alg I or Geometry math class online. This is what we will use for daily attendance. Please click on the Google Form DAILY to be counted as present for attendance purposes each time you come to the class. You are only required Mon-Thurs, but we realize you may be on there outside of those days. Please check in with that material/assignment every time. Thank you!

WEMS Yearbooks have arrived and they look awesome! Huge thanks to Gabi Uebel, who spent hours and hours completing the yearbook design after last spring's school closure. If you ordered a yearbook, it will be sent home with your child. If your child is learning remotely, you can pick up his or her yearbook at WEMS any Monday through Thursday. Ninth graders' yearbooks are at WHS. We do have 20 extra soft-covered yearbooks that we'll sell on a first-come basis for $20 each. Send payment into the school with your child. #JoiningTogetherForSuccess
Good morning parents, over the next several days if you have not already completed a 2020/2021 meal application we will be senting applications home with your students. You only need to complete one application per household. This will insure that students meal benefits do not laps. If you do not qualify just list the students name on the application and state do not qualify. Keep on the look out for the applications coming home with students and return to the school once completed. Thank you for your help!
Greetings WHS ONLINE LEARNERS: Continue to log in to Google Classroom daily, for each class period. Submit a response to a bellwork, daily question, assignment, etc each day! If there is nothing for a certain class for that day, POST A SHORT MESSAGE to your classmates and/or teacher about school related topics, questions, etc. This will count for your attendance. As the days wear on, teachers will continue to upload more and more content/assignments, just as your in person peers are doing...in person. It will get more and more "busy" with more and more work to do in our virtual Google Classrooms. Hang tight! We miss each of you! We hope you are all well! -Mr. Evans and the WHS Family-
Greetings WHS Vikings! What a great first day! Thanks to everyone for your patience and compliance for a safe return to campus. It was wonderful to see you! We will continue to build in mask breaks and allow for mask breaks when social distancing can occur. Its hot in this building! Continue to hydrate during the day! Great job Vikes! See you tomorrow! -Mr. Evans & the WHS Family-
Great job getting your children ready for the first day of school, families! Students were able to follow face covering requirement; kiddos had lots of outdoor breaks; and were just all-around respectful of our new way of doing things here at WEMS! We are ready for Day #2. Please keep sending students with charged Chromebooks and water bottles. Also, at morning drop-off, please stay in the car lane with your child until his or her temperature is taken. We appreciate your support. #JoiningTogetherForSuccess #GoFalcons

If you've signed your child up to participate in WEMS Remote Learning for the 1st Quarter, please take time before Monday to review our Remote Learner Expectations (linked below). Again, while remote learning provides flexibility and an at-home environment during the pandemic, it requires significant time and academic support from families. If this option does not suit your family, please contact the school to change your learning option to on-campus learning. https://5il.co/jmnv
Hello Falcons! For families who've chosen on-campus learning, we'll be welcoming your children back into the school building this Monday, August 17th. As you may have heard, our community has met 2 out of the 3 suggested health benchmarks set out by state. Please know that our entire staff will work hard to keep the physical environment disinfected and to ensure adherence to the health and safety measures approved by our school board. Our goal is to keep students and staff healthy so we can continue attending school in person and not return to a school closure scenario. That's where you come in. Please remember to keep your children home if they have a fever or exhibit other COVID-like symptoms. Please send them each day with a mas or face shield. Please have them bring their waiver to school. Please have them bring a water bottle as fountains are turned off but bottle refilling stations are open. Finally, for 3rd through 8th graders, please send them with their charged Chromebooks every day. While school will look different this year, our entire staff feels the same: We can't wait to see our students back at WEMS this Monday. Thank you for your support.--Dr. Morrison
Hello parents and students, Last night, the WUSD Governing Board decided to return to brick and mortar school on Monday, August 17th. This decision was made with consideration of COVID-19 benchmarks set forth by the AZ Dept of Health and the WUSD Re-opening plan. The re-opening plan can be found on the WUSD website. Distance learning will still occur for those who do not wish to return to the buildings yet. There are some stipulations that must occur for students to return to the school: • All students (and staff) will wear a face covering/mask, which is mandated by the governor and WUSD Policy. This is how we stay open, and it will be enforced. If your child isn’t able to wear a mask due to health, religion, or any other reason, they can use our distance learning program from home. Face shields have been approved to wear. • Students who show COVID symptoms must stay home. Temperatures will be taken as students board buses and enter the school. If students exhibit symptoms, they will be sent home. So please screen your kids daily before sending them to school. • The waiver we sent home to attend school must be signed and returned to the school. These stipulations aren’t ideal and many people don’t agree with them, but they are necessary for us to open school. Please do your part to keep the schools open and give the opportunity to students to be with their teachers and classmates. Busing will be on the same schedule as last year. Please be with your child at the bus stop during this first week of pick-up. Be sure they have no symptoms of COVID and have a face-mask for them to wear on the bus. Temps will be taken as students board the bus. Please contact your child’s school with questions. Rick Honsinger Superintendent, WUSD#2
There is free and fast COVID testing going on daily in Williams through August 24th. More info here: https://5il.co/jjax

Hello Falcon Families: We're excited about tomorrow's first day of remote learning! If you haven't already, please take time today with your child to log onto his or her device and actually sign into Google Classroom. Directions on how to do this, along with login information, were shared at Grades 3-8 Chromebook distribution and in the PreK-2nd grade paper packets mailed home to younger students. It's important for everyone to familiarize themselves with this today because tomorrow morning all students are invited to their first ZOOM class of the week. Below is a concise video on Google Classroom if you're interested. Thank you very much--Dr. Morrison. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Iowi-gmbys
Excited for our first day of school, WUSD#2! Check out these tips to help you succeed when learning from home this week! Go Falcons! Go Vikings!

We will endure and we shall overcome! https://5il.co/j9o6
Greetings WHS Families: Due to math schedules and 11th grade scheduling conflicts, we have made some adjustments to students schedules and the online learning Zoom schedule as well. Elementary teacher assignments are also posted on the school's long hallway windows. Once you have your child's teacher assignment or middle school class list, please review the remote learning schedules linked below to learn more about what Monday will look like for your child. Definitely read the "Important Notes" section on the back of these schedules. Finally, be on the lookout for more information tomorrow from your child's teacher and me. Thank you for your patience as we begin remote learning and work hard to serve our students. --Dr. Morrison Elementary Schedule: https://5il.co/j87e Middle School Schedule: https://5il.co/j87f
Hello families, we will have one last curbside pick up tomorrow (8/7) from 8 am - 10 am for any registered student that has not picked up their Chromebook.
Greetings WHS Families: After the release of last night's online schedule for WHS, one big question remains. "How do I know if my child(ren) are in the A or B groups"? Teachers are creating these flexible groups and will let students know during the first few days of school. If conflicts arise in a schedule, teachers and students can work together to switch in/out of A or B to accommodate. Creating A and B allows us additional flexibility and balances out the "size" of Zoom meetings/"rooms". Patience will be key. Communication will be necessary. I thank you in advance for both. Mr. Evans***
Greetings Vikings! This is Mr. Evans. Hard to believe, but school starts this upcoming Monday Aug. 10th! One big question still out there is "How do I know when my child is supposed to be online to meet with their (online/virtual) class?" Please click the link below for the schedule of when all of WHS is in remote learning mode (Scenario # 3). Please help us share this with your students. Printed copies can be picked up at the WHS Front Office as well. Thank you! https://5il.co/j5q0
Hello families, we will start our Chromebook distribution tomorrow morning. Please take a few minutes to read Chromebook Agreement at the link below before you pick up the device. We will have signature pages available if you are not able to print the last page prior to pick up. If possible, please have your child sign the agreement as well. We do require a parent signature. We have ordered protective sleeves but they have not arrived yet. They will be distributed prior to the first day of in person instruction. Chromebook Agreement: https://5il.co/j0z9 If you requested a hotspot, please read the consent form. We will have printed copies available. Hotspot Consent Form: https://5il.co/j0zj
July is one of the busiest months for many of our district's departments! Technology, custodial/maintenance, and office staff work non-stop in July. There's only one way to prepare hundreds of devices, clean dozens of classrooms, register hundreds of students, and process countless forms: One by one, each individually! Thanks to all of these staff members for their hard work this July. Here comes August!
WUSD#2 has used federal grant dollars to purchase Hotspots for families in need to access remote learning. These are only for families without Internet service. Please reserve your Hotspot by clicking on the link below as soon as possible. https://forms.gle/CQj7zs1WsrWiunWE8
To clarify: The school year starts for all WEMS students on August 10th with remote learning from home. Unless the state directs us otherwise, we will transition to on-campus learning for students who selected that option on August 17th. ALL students in grades 3-8 will be issued individual Chromebooks next week (pick-up schedule sent separately). For PreK-2 students, we will have touch-screen devices, but they have not arrived yet. As a result, we will mail PreK-2 work packets to all PreK-2 students' home addresses for that first week of learning (arriving on 8/10 or 8/11). There will also be online opportunities that first week for PreK-2 families with SmartPhones or other devices. Finally, Hotspots will be available for families without Internet access. Please stay connected to critical school information by downloading our app, visiting our website at www.wusd2.org, or liking us on Facebook. We look forward to serving you to the best of our abilities this year!
Greetings WHS Families! CORRECTION: For Chromebook pickup, it should state "if your last name STARTS WITH" Thank you! Go Vikings!

Hi all, Camp Civitan will be distributing meals today (drive thru style) at the Williams Rec Center from noon-2pm. They give multiple meals for any kids under 18 in the community. They plan on doing Tuesday and Friday starting next week. Shine on Camp Civitan!
Congratulations class of 2020! For upcoming seniors in the class of 2021 I want to remind all who are planning on attending any additional training after they graduate (University, community college, or trade school) that now is the time to start looking for scholarships. While many scholarships may have not opened yet there are some out there already and you should begin to get into a habit and routine of looking and applying. While there are many sites out there that are databases for all scholarships some of my favorite that you should sign up for are Going Merry, FastWeb, Scholarship.com, and StudentScholarships.org. College Board has some oney just for doing what you are going to be doing anyways your senior year. Also look for apps as there are oodles of those too. University, community college, or trade schools can be expensive but if you put in the time you could do these for free! Have a great summer and be safe. -Mr. Powers
Hey there, WEMS Falcons! Starting next Monday, June 8th, Falcon Flyers will hold Virtual Summer Camp! All students are invited to join this free, amazing 3-week camp. To register, email us at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org or call the school at 928-635-4428. Sign up now!

Greetings WHS Families that pick up packet work for WHS students: When requesting work at WEMS or ANY of our 3 other remote locations, it is imperative that you please tell us: 1. Course Name AND 2. Teacher Name Multiple teachers teach different courses within the same subject and not all kids are necessarily in a course that is usually reserved for a certain grade. By doing this, we can get you faster and better service and your child gets exactly what they need. Thank you for your assistance with this. It will save very valuable time and help us to keep long lines on Mondays moving. Be Well. Mr. Evans

WHS prefers something like a free Adobe Scan or Microsoft Office Lens app. Directions on how to use Adobe Scan will be sent shortly in a separate email/text. The Rec Center and WUSD #2 are partnering up to offer a special COVID-19 Spring Egg Hunt! Color a paper egg and hang it on your window, door, or fence by end-of-day Wednesday, April 8th. Then, between Thursday and Sunday, take the family for a drive and hunt eggs from the comfort and safety of your vehicle's backseat. Paper eggs will be available at all WUSD #2 food meal sites starting tomorrow. On Thursday, the Rec Center has donated candy-filled eggs to be distributed at meal sites. #RideNSeekWilliams
Hi all! Remember this is homework Monday. Hardcopy assignments are being distributed with meals at the 4 sites: WEMS, Parks, Valle, and 64Shell.
WEMS is partnering with you to ensure your child continues learning during the school closure. New weekly paper learning packets will continue to be available for pick-up at meal sites every Monday. Starting this Thursday, paper packets can be turned in at meal sites every Thursday. Work submitted cannnot hurt a child's 2nd semester grade, but can definitely improve it! So, turn that work in! Online learning continues through Google Classroom and other platforms. Google Classroom access codes vary by teacher and grade, so contact your teacher or the school for more information. Also, every teacher will soon be starting weekly office hours. This could look different depending upon the grade level. It might be a show and tell, an interactive lesson, a science experiment demo, or a Q & A for students and parents on how to do some of that challenging schoolwork! WEMS is "Built to Serve" and we thank you for working with us.
Hello Falcon Families. The WEMS staff is committed to improving teaching and learning during the school closure. To stay up-to-date on all our educational offerings and any important changes, please make sure to do one or more of the following: download our free app for "Williams USD#2", follow us on Facebook, and/or make sure you're signed up for text and voice messaging with our school. Thank you, Dr. Morrison.
Hello Eighth Grade Students and Families. COVID-19 has certainly thrown our eighth graders' final year of middle school into a bit of a tailspin. Despite this, please know that all of the teachers and staff at WEMS are very proud of this eighth grade class--The WHS Class of 2024! These eighth graders have been hard workers and strong leaders in our school. We look forward to celebrating each and every one of them at a proper promotion ceremony. Although we cannot set a date yet, we promise that the Class of 2024 WILL have a wonderful Eighth Grade Promotion Ceremony!
Greetings WHS Seniors & Parents/Guardians of WHS Seniors: The last few weeks have presented some very uncertain & uneasy times for folks all over the country & all over the world. Schools, sports seasons & events cancelled all over the world. Public gatherings limited to 10 or less people, 6 feet apart, etc. Certainly anxious times. During these uncertain times, it is nice once in a while to get some news that is certain. Our promise to our Senior Class of 2020 is: At some point, when conditions allow, WHS WILL hold a Commencement/Graduation Ceremony of some kind. We don't know when, or how yet, but our commitment to our Seniors tonight, is that WHS WILL find a way to celebrate this wonderful, lifelong accomplishment. Stay tuned & Be Well. Our thoughts are with you. Mr. Evans & the WHS Team***
Greetings and Good Morning WHS. Some good questions have been coming in about Q3/Q4. The opportunity to raise your Q3 grade can only help you. It cannot hurt your Q3/S2 grades. There are no Q4 grades this year. This opportunity for Q3 is also voluntary. I strongly encourage ALL students to take advantage of this opportunity. Some could go from an F to a passing grade and get credit, others might want to raise a B to an A. Please work with your teachers. Thank you! Mr. Evans***
Hi all, Gov Ducey will be hosting a town hall meeting tonight, April 2nd, at 6pm. Time into any AZ station to watch.
Hi Falcon Families! In place of our Annual Literacy Night this year, we'll be giving away new or gently-used books to everyone at our meal pick-up sites tomorrow. When you arrive at meal pick-up tomorrow, just let us know how many children you have and what grades they are in. Thanks to Ms. Oswald for coordinating this and Happy Reading!
Greetings WHS Students & Families: Are you and/or your child interested in raising their 3rd quarter grade(s)? During this Distance Learning Opportunity time, all WHS students will have an opportunity to reach out to their teacher(s) to express their desire to raise their Q3 grade(s). Individual students will work out a plan/agreement to move forward during the closure to improve their Q3 grade(s). Students MUST must be the ones to reach out. Why improve Q3 grade(s)? This will be how WHS determines credit for semester 2 and because students did not have a chance to do so in the 4th quarter. Be Well. Mr. Evans***
Stop by one of our meal pick up sites today... yummy cheeseburgers and french fries, with a side of a healthy salad!
Hey there, Falcon Families! Getting a little cabin fever? Need a change of pace? Now, more than ever, you are our partners in ensuring that students continue to learn and make the most of this school year. I know that you have many questions for us. As we continue to get guidance from the Department of Education, we will inform you of it and always make decisions in the best interest of students. Despite the public health need to close Arizona schools, the entire WEMS staff is committed to serving you, our families, through this pandemic. Please be well and heed our governor's advice to stay home, stay healthy, and stay connected by checking in with our Facebook page and website at www.wusd2.org. Thanks and good night.

If you do not have the ability to send these digitally, please contact Mr. Powers by email before the day of the deadline. Mr. Powers

Greetings WHS Families and Student Athletes: Please see the message below from the AIA: Arizona Governor Doug Ducey recently announced that all statewide schools will be closed through Friday, April 10. With this directive, the AIA and its Executive Board must abide by this decision and require that all AIA member schools not partake in interscholastic competition until further notified. The spring sports championships are still not cancelled at this point. However, discussions for the administration of any postseason tournaments will not take place until after schools are back in session. The AIA will continue to monitor the communications from the governor’s office and make decisions accordingly. In the meantime, we want all of our student-athletes, coaches and teachers to stay safe and follow all health department advisories.

Our district leadership is actively working on a plan for meal distribution and for continuing your child's education during this school closure. Please be on the lookout for more specific information about that plan soon. Until then, we all know that children can be calmed by structure and routines. So, we encourage you to set aside time for reading and learning each day. It can also be free online learning through a cell phone, tablet, or computer. We will send a separate message to you today with some specific educational sites and apps. Happy 2020 Falcon Families! WEMS would like to start the new year off by sharing some good news: For the first time, our school has received results-based funding! Our students performed in the top 27% of all like-demographic Arizona schools on standardized tests. As a result, we'll receive a little extra money this year. While the money certainly is nice, we are most happy about what it represents--student achievement, staff excellence, and family support. Let's keep up the great work and have an amazing second semester!
SCHOLARSHIP INFO: 1) Coconino First Scholarship: This scholarship is offered by NAU and is exclusively for students from Coconino County who are incoming freshmen. It is worth $2,000 and will be awarded at the rate of $1,000 a year for the first 2 years. What is great is that all a student has to do is be accepted to NAU and they will automatically receive this. 2) Arizona Teacher’s Academy. This is through NAU, U of A, and ASU. Graduates of the Arizona Teachers Academy who agree to teach in Arizona will have their tuition and fees waived in exchange for a commitment to teach in an Arizona public school. The requirement is that they commit to teach in an Arizona school for the same amount of years that they get the tuition waived. Information for this is on the Governor’s website at: https://education.azgovernor.gov/edu/arizona-teachers-academy

It takes about 20 minutes to fill out & results are immediate. We have a FAFSA expert coming to help and offer guidance on filling this out. Please bring a copy of your taxes from 2018. There is an IRS retrieval tool built into the on line application but it is always a good idea to bring a paper copy. FAFSA money can be used at many different schools or training centers. If you can, please bring a dish to share. Thanks and see you this Thursday!

Forensic Scientist Kristin Dick was a guest teacher in Mrs. Mitkowski’s social studies classes today. Mrs. Dick talked to every class about the skills she uses in her job and what kind of education is needed to pursue a career in forensics. She then helped the students “break the codes” to clues in an escape room activity. The kids really soared and impressed our guest with their thoughtful questions and the warm welcome to WEMS!
We discovered this morning that last night’s call went out to all WEMS families AND their emergency contacts. Please know we have fixed that already and apologize for the inconvenience. Also, please email email@example.com to report problems with the new notification system.
