COMMUNITY ELIGIBILITY PROVISION

Williams Unified School District's Child Nutrition Program ensures that every student receives a well-balanced meal for breakfast and lunch. Our primary job is to provide meals that are both kid-friendly and healthy for all students and staff. We believe that there is a very important link between a healthy diet and academic performance. We offer all meals at no cost to all enrolled students. Breakfast and lunch are free under the Community Eligibility Provision. If your child attends our afterschool programs, we also provide a snack at no charge.

If your child(ren) would like to purchase Milk or Juice ONLY, a second meal, or an a la carte item, please put money on your child(ren) accounts online or at the cafeteria. You can go to www.wusd2.org for online payments.

Second Chance Breakfast is served to the Middle School students on a daily basis. Students can order breakfast from their teachers in the morning when attendance is taken, and their meals will be brought to their classroom where the teacher has predetermined a designated area for them to be consumed. This removes common barriers like students missing breakfast because they arrive late or because they would rather skip breakfast to hang out with their friends outside of the cafeteria in the morning. Now all students have the opportunity to eat either before school and/or at a more convenient time of the morning and to start their day off with good nutrition. We use low-sugar, whole-grain, and reduced-fat items throughout our menu as well as 1% white milk and nonfat milk options. Non-dairy milk is available to those with allergies so long as a medical statement for special dietary accommodations is provided.
