The varsity girls fought hard in a tough battle against Cicero Prep but came up just short, falling 42-39. Despite the loss, they showed incredible determination and teamwork until the final buzzer. We love the way they completed and gave it their all. Much success next year.

February 15 th , the boys wrestling team will travel to Buckeye Union High
School for the sectional tournament. Weigh-Ins are scheduled for 8 a.m. The
tournament will start at 10:00 a.m. Sectional qualifiers will advance to the state
tournament, scheduled for February 20 th and 21 st . Go Vikings!

With the completion of our new gymnasium floor at WEMS we can once again hold
basketball practice at the middle school. Today’s boys basketball practice will be from
3:30 to 5:30pm. All games will still be played at the high school.

On February 7th, the 1A Central Sectional Basketball Tournament for boys and girls will be
played at Williams and Ash Fork High Schools, with the Championship games being played
at Williams High School. The Viking boys will start things off at 8:30 a.m., hosting the
Grand Canyon Phantoms. Your Viking girls will begin playing at 1:00 pm, hosting the
Phantoms as well. We will also be honoring our winter sports seniors at approximately 2:15 p.m. in the gymnasium. Go VIKINGS.
On February 8th, the girls Viking Wrestling Team will travel to Estrella Foothills High School for their Sectional Tournament.
