Through the generous tax credit donations from our community, we have been able to provide our students with several educational and teambuilding field trips, as well as paying for the CLEP assessment for our honors English students in 11th and 12th grade. These funds are always a tremendous help to adding great opportunities for our students school experience.
Hello WHS Community! We have successfully completed our December Fire Drill.
Good afternoon families,

Thank you and have a great afternoon!

With our newly reopened library, students are beginning to go in and get their library needs met. We have students who use the space to research, study, play chess, and even play the piano. It is great to have the space open again for our students to use.

We had 17 students attend Simply Silly Shakespeare this weekend at Coconino Center for the Arts. FlagShakespeare offered to come to Williams and work with our students. Thank you to Mrs. Gutshall for encouraging our students to get out and experience live theater, especially as it pertains to their own Shakespeare studies.

Congrats to our Falcon Flyers Lego Robotics team for a great tournament today! They even earned an award. Proud of you!

Ms. Brungardt’s science classes are working hard as they race toward the end of semester 1. The anatomy class has been building haunted houses based on phobias, examples of which can be found in the hallways near their class. The environmental science class created a news clip as meteorologists to practice their weather predicting skills for various areas around the world. Fun ways to apply scientific skills to the world around them. The biology classes have extracted DNA from strawberries and are moving on to protein synthesis, so they can better understand how living things survive and thrive.
Congratulations to our 3 teachers who have been nominated for Coconino County Teacher of the Year! Way to go Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Guggisberg and Mrs. Meier! Thank you for the work you do for our students and staff each day!
Mrs. Moreno’s 2nd year Hotel Restaurant Management students have been hard at work preparing gingerbread so they can build their fabulous gingerbread houses. They have learned to modify their recipes in order to make the gingerbread strong enough to stand up to the construction process.
Mr. Johnson’s Welding class is hard at work building a bench. It will be placed at WEMS by the trees planted in memory for a community member. Another student is fabricating a lamb stand for the Ag. Science class. Thank you to our students for their precision work and support of our community!

Sitting in Mr. Grossman's pre-calculus class is always an enjoyable experience. While students experience productive struggle with complex math, the atmosphere is always positive and fun. The respect and rapport between teacher and students, and students with their peers is always a joy to see. There is always laughter coming from that class. When the students catch Mr. Grossman in an error, the accolades they receive are always so positive. It dominates to the students that mistakes are acceptable and good for us to learn from.
