Greetings WUSD # 2 Families. At today's Board Meeting, the WUSD # 2 Governing Board unanimously voted to NO LONGER REQUIRE Masks at WUSD schools. Going forward, masks will be optional....an individual or parental choice. WUSD # 2 wants to remind everyone that our expectation is to be tolerant and accepting of those that wish to continue to wear masks. No staff member can require/compel any student or fellow staff member to wear a mask, nor can any supervisor/administrator do the same. Thank you! Mr. Evans***

Greetings WUSD # 2 Families: Late this afternoon, Gov. Ducey rescinded the mask in schools mandate (paragraph 5 of Executive Order 2020-51). Masks are no longer required in AZ schools, HOWEVER, Thursday morning there is a Governing Board meeting to discuss and take possible action on this exact topic. For this reason, we are asking that ALL staff and students continue to wear masks until at least mid day Thursday (4/22), in which the district will put out further info/guidance after the Board Meeting.
