Congrats to the Falcon Boys A, B, and C Basketball Teams for a great season opener yesterday! The boys swept all six of their games and the Cheer Squad was fantastic!

WHS Families: As we continue to tackle the national and local issues associated with teen vaping, WHS will provide various support & education, because knowledge is power. Knowledge allows us all to make better informed and safer decisions. Today, folks from CCHHS (Coconino County Health and Human Services) gave all WHS an informative, factual, statistically backed, and educational presentation on vape and vaping. Happy 2020 Falcon Families! WEMS would like to start the new year off by sharing some good news: For the first time, our school has received results-based funding! Our students performed in the top 27% of all like-demographic Arizona schools on standardized tests. As a result, we'll receive a little extra money this year. While the money certainly is nice, we are most happy about what it represents--student achievement, staff excellence, and family support. Let's keep up the great work and have an amazing second semester!
Renowned documentary photographer Amy Martin presenting her work from around the globe to our 8th graders as past of the 8th Grade Identity through Photography Project! This project is a springtime tradition at WEMS and is generously sponsored by the Williams Alliance for the Arts. Student photography will be on display at WAFTA's gallery throughout the month of April!
